Chéile Wellbeing workplace wellbeing: hands holding a warm mug of tea beside a closed laptop, a pause in the working day

With the demands of modern life, it can feel like there are more and more balls to keep in the air. With juggling work, family, relationships and everyday responsibilities, it is no surprise that many of us can feel overwhelmed, stressed or burnt out at work.

When work has become harder than it used to be

Workplace mental health can affect how we manage stress, maintain focus and motivation, balance work and personal life, and engage effectively in our roles.

  • Feeling overwhelmed by your workload
  • Struggling to switch off after work
  • Finding it difficult to maintain routines
  • Experiencing burnout or anxiety
  • Finding it difficult to concentrate, stay organised or keep on top of tasks
  • Struggling to manage your energy and stay motivated throughout the working day
  • Finding it difficult to balance work demands with rest and personal wellbeing
  • Simply feeling that work has become harder than it used to be

OT offers practical, individualised strategies to help you feel more in control.

More about Laura

Your mental wellbeing shapes the way you work

Your mental health affects more than how you feel. It can influence your focus, motivation, energy levels and ability to manage the demands of work. Mental Health Occupational Therapy helps you understand not only how you feel, but how stress and your mental health are affecting the way you work and function in the workplace. It helps you understand the challenges you’re experiencing and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing, manage work-related stress and make everyday working life feel more manageable.

What we can work on together

At Chéile Wellbeing, I provide practical, personalised support for individuals in the workplace, with a focus on developing sustainable strategies that support wellbeing, resilience and long-term mental health.

  • Stress and burnout

Stress management, burnout prevention and building resilience, so demanding periods feel more manageable.

  • Workload and focus

Strategies to manage a demanding workload, and to manage your energy and concentration.

  • Boundaries and balance

Improving boundaries between work and home, for a healthier work-life balance.

  • Routines and habits

Healthy routines and workplace habits, with support for emotional regulation along the way.

The aim is not simply to help you cope at work, but to support your overall wellbeing, so you can feel more capable, balanced and engaged in both your working life and the things that matter outside of work.

Returning to work, at a sustainable pace

Occupational Therapy can support you in preparing for a return to work following a period of absence due to stress, burnout or mental health difficulties. Together, we’ll identify what you need to feel more prepared and confident about returning, developing practical strategies to support:

  • Healthy daily routines
  • Confidence and motivation
  • A healthier work-life balance
  • Sustainable working habits
  • Managing work-related stress
  • Improved focus and concentration
  • Energy management and burnout prevention
  • A smoother, more sustainable return to work

This can help you understand the impact of your mental health on occupational performance and everyday functioning, so that returning feels more manageable.
